The truth is, there is no meaning to anything without Jesus. The wisest man in the Bible stated that "I have seen all the things done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind" (Ecclesiastes 1:14). Without Jesus, there is no hope, because, without Him,
there is no salvation.
Salvation is God's plan to reconcile himself with humanity. God not only created us, but He also saved us by sending His son, Jesus Christ, to take our place on the cross, eradicating our sins forever. Romans 3:23 states, "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." Meaning that ever since Adam and Eve ate forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden, people were born into sin and needed to accept the sacrifice of the cross to receive salvation and live eternally with
God, the Father.
It seems a little intense, but it's simple. God loved the world so much that He sent His only Son to die for us, and when we believe that Jesus is the only way, the only truth, and the only life, we will live forever in communion with Him. You do belong, and you do have a purpose! There is peace, and there is hope. It is and always will be all about Jesus.
